Thinking of getting an irobot Roomba (robot vacuum) anyone got one? and are they good, would you recommend one?
Any Pros or cons??
I have one. We call him “Robbie” the roomba robot.
Pros – Less work for me. Dogs don’t bark at it unlike a regular vacuum.Automatically adjusts to floor height. Does not fall down stairs.
Cons – Must empty canister and clean contacts every time. short battery life (regular use seems to lengthen life a bit). Gets stuck on fringe of carpets. Does not do stairs. Price.
Overall if you have limited time to do regular routine vacuuming then yes I would recommend it.
It is a small vacuum that a robot moves around. My parents have a small vacuum and you had to empty it after every use too.
We were using it every other day. Freed up some time to do other things.
I picked mine up for $40 cdn at an auction so it has been worth the money. I don’t think I’d spend the $100+ that it sells for in retail.
However, I am looking into getting the robot that cleans out the eavetroughs. That is worth the money.
