Should I or should not vaccinate my child?
A good friend has been sending me emails vac. forms of all the bad things that are in the vaccines and the damage it can do for your child. She did not vaccinate your child, it is a very healthy child. so you know a lot of mothers who are not their children and some children are teenagers. Too many cases have been linked to SIDS and autism. I want the best for my son but do not know what to do. Anyone has some advantages and disadvantages?
There is no evidence that the vaccine causes serious damage in children. The first idea that came to light with a small study has been criticized for methodological limitations. Since that first study, many, many studies have refuted the link between autism and vaccination of children, but they have passed almost unnoticed by the community of autism. Here is an example of a recent study: 1292 cases of autism and PDD were identified (76.6% with autism and other TED 23.4% with an average age of diagnosis of 5.4 years). 78.1% (1010/1292) of people with ASD have been vaccinated with MMR compared to 82.1% (3671/4469) controls. There was no association between MMR vaccine and the All autistic PDD (OR 0.86 [95% CI 0.68 to 1.09]), only (OR 0.88 [CI 95% CI 0.67 to 1.15]), or PDD alone (or 0.75 [95% CI 0.46 to 1.23]). No association was found when the analysis was restricted to children vaccinated before 3 years or who were diagnosed before the media suggested a link MMR to autism (Prior 3 years is 0.90 [95% CI 0.70 to 1.15] before coverage: OR 0.91 [95% CI 0.62 to 1.33]). It seems that you are carrying the child (and others around) much more likely not to be vaccinated in the vaccines. Say, however, there is evidence that some children are genetically vulnerable to autism (as they develop normally and then suddenly fall in autism): any trauma "can break the glass, so return 'without vaccination, then a new sibling, moving, loss of a favorite toy, etc. It is more or less inevitable. Studies have shown that parents with autistic children who regress are much more likely attempt to explain the emergence of an environmental cause, as they feel "guilty" of your child is autistic, and this is largely why this link is unfounded remains: as a scapegoat. No differences were observed in children who showed regression and autistic behavior of Birth (Davidovitch, 2000), and there is an equal percentage of reads to be "slightly autistic" in cases regressive and non-regressive, suggesting a common genetic predisposition. In addition, reports of "regression" due to vaccination are based on observations parents, who may or may not be reliable in the advancement of knowledge in development prior to vaccination, in other words, many of these children would have returned, after reviewing the videos home, had mild autistic tendencies before vaccination.
