How do I fix a cofee table leg? Its solid wood and the movers broke one leg?
I dont want to pay $200 to get it fix, that was the estimate the guy gave me. Its solid wood and has an unusual shape. I dont want to mess it up since it was hand made with a beautiful carving on the top. Can i jus glue it.please help, not a DIY girl
As the others have mentioned here… you need to file a claim with your mover, for the damage. They WILL pay to have the table repaired.
I could walk you thru the process of repairing the table leg, but you need certain tools, and skills as a woodworker to make the repair invisible. If youve never done anything like this, I would strongly suggest, that you let a professional do it, since this is an important piece.
Repairing broken wood, takes some skill, and a touch of art, to be able to mask the repair…. this is something that comes with good training, and lots of practice, hehehe.
